I picked my car up from the honda dealer today, and decided I wanted to do a couple of errands. I sat in traffic on the gulf freeway for about 20 mins to get back to downtown. Then I sat in traffic for another 20 minutes at the 10/610/290 interchange to get onto 290. I was getting off at the 2nd exit, but of course the feeder was backed up onto the ramp and up onto the freeway. On my way to do the second errand I sat in another stack up on 610 and then on the feeder trying to get to the galleria mall. Once I finished there, you guessed it, MORE TRAFFIC on the route home.

If there ever were an example on our transportation/energy issues of today Houston,TX is it. Adding more lanes and drilling for more oil are not the answers. We need to rethink with modern, reliable public transportation. We need to start asap because it will take a long time to get there!
